Description

This course provides information on Channel Management and Corporate Operations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail and walks through all the configuration required in order to deploy a retail channel.

We begin with an introduction to the basic architecture and navigational tools in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail and then go on to describe the use of organizations and hierarchies, and the use and purpose of each type of retail channel and demonstrate how to create new channels.

The course then goes on to look at advanced configuration of the channels and the core prerequisite parameters including retail parameters, info codes, and store locators.  It then presents the setup and configuration of sales tax, the different payment methods, and point of sale, before going into more detail on how to design and create point of sale registers.

Worker operations, the global address book, and how to create jobs and positions are also covered as well as retail security roles.

The course then looks at managing customer loyalty including loyalty cards, discounts, loyalty rewards, and price groups, as well as how to set up and use retail gift cards before dealing with IT functions and configuration including online transactions, email processes, POS redeployment, and the data distribution process.

The course also describes the inquiry forms that you can use to view and drill down into the details of various types of transactions that are posted and wraps up with end of day operations which describe how to create, calculate and post statements.
